It has «alcoves» in the middle of the establishment that, while a bit run down, serve the purpose of allowing you some true peace and quiet. Lets face it, we go to these places to either hang out, or to do a bit of work. There’s a wide variety of drinks, made to your liking. The frozen Mexican mocha is far superior to the very best Frappuccino you’ve had at the other place. The hot drink is truly outstanding, and has just enough of a bite of cinnamon. My personal favorite, is the Mexican Mocha - in all of its varieties. That being said, there are multiple treats that help assuage the pain. You’re greeted by friendly smiles, awesome aromas, and of course, air conditioning, which is vital in this inner circle of hell we call the San Joaquin Valley, during the summer. Why are you going to Starbucks? Now I will say that previous incarnations of this coffee shop (Revue, etc.) have generally been subpar dens of Tower District hipsterism, and generally provided an unwelcoming atmosphere of mild disdain. I really hope they amp up their coffee game, because I’d like to keep supporting local businesses and want to speak nothing but good things about everything, especially their coffee.

Overall, I gave 3 stars mainly because they won me over with their free wifi, friendly staff, atmosphere, and the tasty breakfast skillets. I can’t describe the taste, but it was not good at all.
Unfortunately, this drink wasn’t drinkable. The last drink I tried was the Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate Mocha, or something like that.
I tried the White Mocha, which was also a bit on the bland side too. Its my favorite drink and have bought it at Teazers and Starbucks and theirs are always very tasty. I’ve tried a few different drinks from them, and none of them spectacular. Usually I plan on staying for a bit to do homework, so I don’t mind. They’re little breakfast skillet things are amazing! Super tasty! The people are nice, although sometimes the service is a bit slow. The layout is great and do enjoy coming here. I recently moved to the tower area and like to come here for the Wifi and the atmosphere. I will say this is one of my favorite places, but I don’t come for the great coffee.
